How an oven works?

An oven is a common household appliance used for cooking food. It works by using electrical energy to heat up the interior of the oven to a desired temperature, which allows you to cook food using different methods such as baking, roasting, or broiling.

The oven is made up of several components that work together to create the cooking environment. These include:

  1. Heating element: This is the part of the oven that produces heat. Most ovens have two heating elements – one at the top and one at the bottom. These elements are made of metal and get hot when electricity flows through them.
  2. Thermostat: The thermostat is a temperature sensor that measures the temperature inside the oven. It helps to regulate the temperature and ensure that it stays at the desired level.
  3. Timer: The timer is a simple mechanism that allows you to set the length of time you want your food to cook.

When you turn on the oven, electricity flows through the heating elements, causing them to heat up. The thermostat measures the temperature inside the oven and turns the heating elements on or off as needed to maintain the desired temperature.

Differences between a normal oven and a pizza oven

A pizza oven operates based on the same principles as a conventional oven, but with some notable differences. Typically, a pizza oven features two heating elements, although its height is significantly smaller since it is specifically designed for making pizzas.

In addition, a pizza oven must be able to reach temperatures of 500°C / 932°F, which necessitates the use of different cooking chamber materials and insulation.

Furthermore, a pizza oven requires a pizza stone on which to cook the pizza.
